February Theme: Relationships

By Josh Komis

February is here and with it, a new theme for Family Blueprint! We want to help our church family discover the importance of Relationships in our discipleship path. God said “it is not good for man to be alone” (Gen. 2:18) because he made us to be relational as our Triune God is relational.

He made us specifically with three specific spheres of relationships:
  1. Relationship to God
  2. Relationship to others
  3. Relationship to ourselves
We take a few minutes in this video to unpack the biblical theology of relationships and how God wants us to enjoy these good gifts today. We learn that the gospel redeems God’s good design for human relationships and we can embrace the relational gifts he has given us today. God’s gifts are meant for today but they are also heading somewhere. The end of Revelation shows us how God’s blueprint for the family becomes fulfilled in the New Heaven and the New Earth. His design and ways are always perfect!

Later this month, we plan to share a podcast interviewing a married couple and single individual from our Salem family. They will share what God is teaching them in their season of life and how they get to see God use them in incredible ways through their gift of singleness or marriage.  We will also share resources and giveaways that will help our church people in their spheres of relationships. Stay tuned!

Let’s embrace God’s gift of relationships to us and strive to be relationally healthy disciples of Jesus Christ this month and always.
